Spaghetti Marinara

Savor the taste of Italy with our simple Spaghetti Seafood Marinara. This dish features perfectly cooked spaghetti tossed in a flavorful marinara sauce, brimming with seafood. It’s a delicious and satisfying meal that brings the flavors of the sea to your table in no time.

Ingredients

500g Spaghetti
4 Tbs Olive oil
1 Red chilli deseeded & finely chopped
6 Garlic cloves minced
500g Seafood marinara mix
700mL Passata
250mL White wine (dry white)
2 Shallots finely sliced
1/2 bunch Basil
2 Lemon
1 pinch Salt
1 pinch Cracked black pepper

Method

FOR THE PASTA

  1. Bring a pot of water to the boil and season generously .
  2. Cook pasta as per packet instructions .

FOR THE SAUCE

Meanwhile:

  1. Heat oil in large pan, over medium high heat .
  2. Add in shallot, garlic and chilli and cook until slightly golden (approximately 1 minute) remove from pan and set aside for a moment .
  3. Increase pan heat to high and allow to heat up before add seafood marinara, the seafood should sizzle when it hits the pan, sauté for 2-3 minutes (do this step in batches if necessary).
  4. Return the reserved shallot, garlic and chilli mix back to pan.
  5. Deglaze with white wine.
  6. Lower heat back to medium high and add passata, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Season sauce with salt, black pepper and lemon juice.
  8. Finish with fresh basil.

Combine

  1. Once pasta is cooked drain and transfer to marinara sauce, stir to combine.
  2. Serve with a wedge of lemon.
